About the CDC EIS Conference
Free and open to the public, the annual CDC EIS conference is the nation’s flagship applied epidemiology conference. During the past several years the CDC EIS Conference has grown from a small public event to a conference with over 4,000 participants and it’s expanding every year. Over the course of the event, EIS officers share their work in leading-edge public health investigations, novel scientific findings, and innovative strategies to inform public health decision-making and protecting health—all while gaining valuable presentation experience.
This conference sparks interest from epidemiology and lab science sleuths, public health organizations, EIS alumni, news media, and prospective fellowship applicants, among others.
