Q: Do I have to register as a virtual attendee?
A: Yes, you must be registered to attend the 2026 CDC-EIS Conference virtually and access (ShopApp) and the online platform. Click here to register.
Q: Will I have access to all the sessions as a virtual attendee?
A: Yes, as a virtual attendee, you will have the option to view all or some sessions streamed online through the online platform.
Q: Will I be able to ask questions?
A: Presenters will not be taking questions from the virtual audience. Attendees are encouraged to read the abstracts and submit questions ahead of the presentations. Questions will be randomnly selected for inclusion during the presentation.
Q: How do I log in to the online platform?
A: You will need to register and access the online platform through the mobile app (ShopApp) to watch the streaming sessions.
Q: How do I download the online platform to my device for virtual access?
A: If you are attending the session via your computer, the web browser client should download automatically when you join the session via your unique URL link. If you wish to join from an Apple or Android mobile device, you will access the sessions by downloading the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, respectively.
An email will be sent to all registered attendees with download options closer to the start of the conference.
Q: Do I need a Zoom account to attend a Virtual Session?
A: No, you do not need a Zoom account to attend a Virtual Session; all you need is the link for the specific Virtual Session you are attending. If you need this link resent, email CDC-EIS@eventpowersupport.com to request it. Make sure to include the Session ID or Session Name and Date when emailing.
Q: Do I need special equipment to attend a Virtual Session?
A: For the best possible experience, we recommend using a desktop device with a browser such as Chrome, using an Ethernet connection, and a USB headset.
Q: How do I join my Virtual Session?
A: You should have received a confirmation email with your unique URL link to access your Virtual Session. If you need this link to be re-sent, email CDC-EIS@eventpowersupport.com to request. Make sure to include the Session ID or Session Name and Date when emailing.
Prior to the session, we recommend running a system check to verify your system/device meets the requirements for participation in a Virtual Session. On the day of the session, we recommend joining at least 10-15 minutes early to ensure you can connect without issue.
Q: What time zone will sessions be broadcast in?
A: All sessions will be broadcast in Eastern Time (ET). Please plan accordingly if you are joining from a different time zone. The full conference schedule, including session start times in ET, will be available on the eventPower platform once registration is confirmed.
Q: Will sessions be available to watch on demand after the conference?
A: Select sessions may be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing following the conference. Information on which sessions will be recorded and how to access recordings will be communicated closer to the conference date. Not all sessions may be recorded; availability is subject to the presenter's consent.
Q: What should I do if I experience technical difficulties during a live session?
A: If you experience technical difficulties during a session, as a first attempt, please refresh your browser or rejoin using your unique URL link. If the issue persists, contact technical support at CDC-EIS@eventpowersupport.com and include your Session ID or Session Name, the Date, and a brief description of the issue. For the fastest response, have your session details ready before reaching out.
Q: Will accessibility accommodations such as closed captioning be available for virtual sessions?
A: CDC is committed to ensuring accessibility for all attendees. Closed captioning will be available for streamed sessions through the eventPower platform. If you require additional accommodations — such as American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation or alternative formats — please contact CDC-EIS@eventpowersupport.com at least five business days prior to the conference.
